WHEN exactly, should I ship my specimens?
When To Ship
For best results, shipping would occur on any day the labs are open to receive samples.
Do NOT ship samples on Friday, because they will sit over the weekend, which threatens the viability of the specimen, and therefore the viability of the results.
We repeat: Do NOT ship cold samples on Friday, because they will sit over the weekend, which threatens the viability of the specimen, and therefore the viability of the results.
We repeat for emphasis: Do NOT ship fresh tissue samples or live fish samples on Friday, because they will sit over the weekend, which threatens the viability of the specimen, and therefore the viability of the results.
In general, then, it would be advised that you would send the samples Monday for Tuesday delivery, Tuesday for Wednesday, Thursday for Friday or if you want, Friday for Saturday delivery; but that's extra from the shipper.
You definitely MUST call 706 247 6274 to make sure that the samples will be intercepted by the tech.

Costs
Costs can be discussed when you're talking with the lab personnel. KHV testing runs about thirty dollars, sample preparation and other tests are additional. Fees vary. All fees will be discussed up front. If your samples arrive with out payment they will just sit.
